S/SGT Courtney T. Kruger, U.S. Air Corp, Prisoner of War Survivor, Osaka Japan, and the Philippines 1941 ‚ 1945, peacefully passed away on July 30, 2014. Courtney was awarded numerous military medals including the Bronze Star, P.O.W. Presidential Unit Citation 19th BG and 2 Oak Leaf Clusters.
He married Ruby E. Kruger, the love of his life. They raised two beautiful girls and lived a happy and fulfilling life. He touched everyone's heart and inspired many throughout his life. He was a very humble and gracious man, and an example to all.
Survived by his daughters; Connie M. Wright, and Karen M. Israelsen, his grandchildren; Courtney Chase, Morgan and Madison.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, 2014 at the Salt Lake Veterans Home, 700 Foothill Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah at 2:00 PM. Family will receive friends from 12:45 ‚ 1:45 PM prior to services. Interment at Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 N Street, SLC UT.
