Irma Carol Woffinden Taylor

1924 ~ 2014

Our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend passed shortly before years end to once again be reunited with family to begin the New Year. Carol, lovingly known as Granny, was born on June 18, 1924 in Salt Lake City, UT to Maurice and Cynthia Urania Norton Woffinden. Carol was a granddaughter of the Utah Pioneers. She attended South High School, and LDS Business College. Carol served as a secretary for the U.S. Army during World War II and later at the LDS Hospital. Carol married Richard Holbrook Taylor in Salt Lake City on June 2nd, 1948. She devoted her life to being a homemaker. She loved flowers, gardening, her many pets, and she enjoyed crafts and sewing.

Carol is survived by her daughters: Cynthia (Rod) Jenson, Heidi (Steven) Olson, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Holbrook Taylor, sons: Kevin Lee and Larry Grant, both parents, and 3 brothers.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 N Street. A visitation will be held prior from 9:30 ‚ 10:30 at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, SLC. For condolences, please visit www.larkincares.com
