Nadine Searle Van Corler

1935 ~ 2016

Nadine passed away with her family by her side on May 18, 2016 at the Riverton Hospital. Nadine Rhea Searle was born to Heber J. and Edith Searle in Murray, Utah, on June 25, 1935. She grew up in South Salt Lake and graduated from Granite High. In 1955 she met Ernest "Ernie" Van Corler. They were sealed for time and eternity on October 8, 1956 in the Salt Lake City Temple. She was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in a variety of callings; her favorite was in primary working with children. After retiring, Nadine and Ernie served as temple workers for 12 years. They served at both the Winter Quarters and Chicago temples, including a one-year mission to the Chicago temple.

Nadine and Ernie made their home in Salt Lake, Independence, Missouri, Ankeny, Iowa, and for the last three years in South Jordan, Utah. They were blessed with four children. She was a fun mom and grandma. She was proud of her family.

Nadine is survived by her eternal companion, Ernie; children, Chandra Walker, Guy (Laurie) Van Corler, Jackie (Trevor) Adams, and Robert (Angie) Van Corler; sister, Ardie Derrick; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don; sisters, Margaret, Louise, Virginia, Lorraine, and Cleo; grandson, David.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016. Viewing on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Both at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.) Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens
