Our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 the age of 79. Peggy was born August 27, 1938 in Alliance, Ohio to Abner Eugene Harris and Amber (Stockman) Harris. She was one of eight children. She only has two sisters that survive her, Ruth and Cheryl. She graduated from Alliance High School.
She moved to Glendale, California in 1963. She was as a CNA and did lots of waitressing. It was at one of the restaurants' that she met her husband, Tracy. He maintains to this day that she was the best and cutest waitress in town. They married on April 6, 1974.
Her four children were very important to her. She made each of them feel that they were important and was supportive of them. She was very involved in PTA while her children were in school. She assisted in the school classrooms of her children. She was President of the West Covina Little League.
Her hobbies were sewing, cooking, baking, putting together jigsaw puzzles, games and Christmas was her favorite holiday. She loved ice cream.
Tracy and Peggy moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1994 and have resided there since.
Her parents, six of her siblings and a grandson, precede her in death. Survived by her devoted husband, Tracy, two daughters\, Ruthanna (Gregory) Martin, two sons' - Lester (Lonni) Mason and Patrick (Stephanie) Mason. Also survived by 11 grandchildren with one more due in March 2018. Her brother-in-law, James Mason from Maryland also survives her.
Carolyn asked to be cremated but a Memorial Service will be held for her on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah where friends and family can pay their respects and support for her family.
