Craig B. Hurst

1958 ~ 2018

Craig B. Hurst passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Friday June 8, 2018 due to complications from cancer at the age of 59.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 10, 1958 to Marie Law Christensen and Lynn Kelsey Hurst. He graduated from Idaho Falls High School and the University of Utah with a degree in accounting in 1981, where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. Craig later enjoyed a long career in the insurance and surety industry, always enjoying the relationships he had with his clients, fellow brokers and colleagues, and making friends everywhere he went. On October 8, 2010, Craig married his best friend, Gayle. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing hockey, loved to golf, play softball, snow ski and water sports of all kinds. He especially loved good food and was an excellent cook.

If there was one word used to describe Craig, the word would be \"kind\". Anyone he met was treated with warmth and care, without traces of a negative word. Known for his wit and humor, Craig made everyone around him feel important. He faced cancer with determination and stubbornness, never allowing it to be more important than those he loved.
