Mary Lou Humphrey, age 83, passed away on October 18 as a result of cancer. She was born on October 6, 1933 and was then adopted by Eugene Osborne and Lucille Howe Humphrey. Mary Lou attended school in Bountiful (Stoker School) and Salt Lake City 9Ensign, Bryant Jr. High and East High School). She graduated from Brigham Young University and taught school in Salt Lake City and Ely, Nevada. She loved animals, especially dogs and insects of all varieties which she personally named. Mary Lou has many friends but is particularly attached to Jodi and Shane Conner and John Berry who cared for her with love and affection.
She is survived by a sister, Barbara H. Stretton of Greenwich, CT. and her beloved dog, Ozzie.
Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, October 22 at 12 Noon at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, in Salt Lake City. Luncheon to follow.
