Joyce Ludwig, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully at her home with her family on September 28, 2015. Joyce was born May 9, 1927 in Springfield, Missouri to Jim and Leona Nickle.
She married her handsome sweetheart Herbert R. Ludwig on March 20, 1953. They grew more in love and devoted to each other every day of their more than 60 years of marriage. She is now reunited with her sweetheart Herb and her oldest daughter Connie. Joyce will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, her service to others and her love of her Heavenly Father and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by 8 children Gerda Orrock (Chris), Rolf Ludwig (Jeneanne), Gina Swapp, Colista Fletcher (John), Leona Keesling (Byron), Frieda Gillett (Randy), Jaleen Flygare (Rob), Heidi Barlow (Gabe). She is also survived by 1 brother; Ray Nickle, 3 sisters; Asenath Adams, Sonja Smith, Billie Coffin, 44 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grand-children.
A funeral Service will be held on Friday October 2, 2015 at 11:00am at the Sandy Midvalley Stake Center, 1106 E. 8050 S. Sandy, Utah. A visitation will be held on Thursday October 1, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.) in Sandy, Utah and from 9:30 to 10:30am prior to her funeral. Interment will be at Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
