Tami Chubbuck Tycksen

1970 ~ 2017

Tami Chubbuck Tycksen, 46 passed away on March 3, 2017 at home surrounded by family. Tami was born November 10, 1970 to Steve and Bilene Chubbuck in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After their family relocated to Utah, Tami graduated from Granger High School. She continued her education attending Weber State University where she graduated with a bachelor's degree then focused on event planning and coordinating. She worked for Discover Card where she enjoyed many memorable experiences and developed eternal and lasting friendships with her co-workers.

Tami loved the outdoors and could be found every fall with the best hunting partner anyone could ask for: her dad. They shared decades of love and laughter while experiencing the wonders of our mountains.

Tami's greatest highlights in life were:

Giving Birth to her daughter Brinley. Tami would always be found doting over Brinley and constantly encouraging her to be the very best. They shared a bond of dance and as Brinley developed her dancing skills, Tami's smile grew bigger and brighter. Proud of the accomplishments of her "Little Bug"

Overcoming Breast Cancer in 2014

Marrying the love "bug" of her life in 2016. Tami found true love with Brian Tycksen, though they knew each other over 35 years, it took until 2015 where they connected and had an instant bond. They married on June 3, 2016 planning a life full of adventure and laughs. The plans were cut short after they learned of the relapse of the cancer. They spent every moment they could creating loving and lasting memories for their family.

Tami was an amazing friend, always taking the time to listen and lift those in need around her. Tami was full of life and happiness. Tami lived life valiantly, even to the end.

Tami is survived by her parents Steve and Bilene, her husband Brian, daughter Brinley, and stepdaughter Ashley.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 8, 2017 at 11am in the Quail Ridge Ward Chapel, 12110 South 1300 West Riverton, UT. A viewing will be held on Tuesday March 7, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Larkin Mortuary-Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South Riverton, UT and 10-10:45am prior to services at the Church.
