Devin Andrew Smith

1984 ~ 2019

Devin Andrew Smith passed away on March 3, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Devin was born December 14, 1984 to Rick and Sherri Smith, Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a graduate of Jordan High School lettering in baseball, football, and golf. He was naturally athletic and excelled in any sport he encountered. He was a true and true University of Utah fan. His Mom and Dad will certainly miss their golf buddy and his Dad will miss watching sports with him.

Devin was always kind, compassionate, generous and had a heart of gold. He enjoyed spending time at the family cabin fishing and four wheeling but loved golfing more than anything else. Devin worked in the construction industry, framing, roofing, remodeling houses, and recently as a fork-lift operator. He was his dad's right-hand man when it came to working on home improvements, the yard or on cars. He was always a helping hand for his two brothers Aaron and Adam whenever the need arose.

Devin is survived by his parents, Rick and Sherri Smith, brothers, Aaron Smith, Adam (Noelle) Smith, grandmother, Barbara Urry, special Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Devin will be reunited with his best friend and brother, Landon Smith, grandparents, Ken Morelli, Emogene Morelli, Ray Smith, Carol Stauffer, Floyd Stauffer, Aunts Jude Allsop, Kathe Cummings, cousins David "Marty" Allsop, Rande Maynes and Alex Saurdiff. We are grateful and envious for the reunion they must be having with him now.

Devin was baptized in the Grace Lutheran Church but had been attending the Rock Church the last few years, which he really enjoyed.

We would like to thank the staff at IMC Shock Trauma unit for the special care they gave him especially nurses Dani and Ty. A special thanks also to Valley Behavioral Health and their staff. A very special thanks to Aunt Candie and Uncle John who were there for him day and night until the very end.

Devin will be dearly missed by his Parents, Brothers, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, relatives and all who knew him including his ever-faithful companion, Tank. We love you Devin and we will miss your beautiful smile and laugh. Arrivederci until we meet again. "Go Utes"!
