Ronald Jasper Eichers

1940 ~ 2014

A wonderful man left this earth to continue his eternal journey. Ronald Jasper Eichers passed away January 2, 2014. Ronald was born October 29, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jasper William Eichers and Fuchia (Connie) Eggett Boynton.

Ronald graduated from EastHigh School and attended the University of Utah. He was a commercial printer and owned and operated LithoTech with his son. He was a sports enthusiast and loved to bowl, travel, and grow giant pumpkins.

He married his childhood sweetheart Lynette McCandless in 1960. Their marriage was later solemnized in the SaltLakeTemple. Ronald was a faithful active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served where called. He was a man of few words and taught by example. He was kind and compassionate with an incredible inner strength and the unique ability to live happily each day. He was steadfast and took life's challenges in stride.

We were blessed with love, joy, and peace in our home. Ron was devoted to his family and their well-being and happiness was his first priority. We are grateful for the goodness of our children and grandchildren who have met our every need. We extend a sincere thank you to our extended family, friends, and neighbors for their prayers and kindness.

Our Family motto is, "We will do our best each day," and Ron added, "and just keep going."

Ronald is survived by his children: Ronnie (Suzi) Eichers, Lori (Curtis) McDougal, Lisa Eichers; grandchildren: Dallas, Sierra, Kolton Eichers and Holliann (David Archer), Jaron and Bailey McDougal; mother-in-law, Gloria McCandless and family, sister, Lillie Ann (Lewis) DeYoung and family.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 7, 12 Noon at the Canyon Rim Second Ward, 3000 South Grace Street (3100 East) A visitation will be held Monday, January 6, from 6:00 ‚ 8:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South. Friends may also visit Tuesday at the Ward 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
