Our much loved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle and Friend traveled to eternity on Sept 5, 2015 at the age of 85. Born on Sept 1, 1930 to Leopold and Zoe Ellen (Powell) Leonard in Price, Utah, he was the youngest of 9 brothers and sisters.
He served in the United States Armed Forces in the 82nd Airborne Division from 1951-1953. Attended Utah State majoring in Fishery Biology. He met the love of his life, Golda LaRee Day and married in June of 1956, later sealed for time and eternity in the LDS Salt Lake Temple. They celebrated 59 years of love and marriage. A great success in the Insurance Industry for 50 years. Top producer year after year, receiving numerous awards. His accomplishments allowed him to travel the world, attributing his success to the caring of others. Bob loved fishing, football, gardening and traveling.
Survived by his wife Golda, daughters Lori (Chris) Clawson and Lana (Doug) Emery, 6 grandsons (spouses) and 4 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters. Leo, Emmett, Birdie, Clair, Evelyn, Stanley, Max, Paul Bert (Jack).
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, Sept 12, 2015 at the Dimple Dell Stake Center, 9880 S 3100 E, Sandy. Viewing at Larkin Sunset Gardens from 6-8 PM on Friday, Sept 11,1950 E Dimple Dell Road (10600 S) in Sandy and from 9:30-10:30 AM prior to service at the church. Graveside dedication 2:00 PM at Salem City Cemetery, 130 E. 965 S. Salem, Utah. Thank you to CNS Hospice and a special thank you to the "angels" that helped with 24 hour care.
