Marsha Butler Fox

1956 ~ 2015

Marsha Ann Butler Fox, age 59, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday November 18, 2015, after a 40 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Although MS stole her physical abilities and eventually took her life, it only made her spirit stronger. Her example of unconditional love and constant smile brightened every room and touched every person who knew her. The Temple was always special to her, and she enjoyed her view of the Jordan River Temple every day. Marsha had so much faith and smiled throughout her trials on earth and will continue to smile down on all who loved her.

Marsha was born on June 24, 1956 to Ray and Shirley Butler in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was raised in Aurora, Colorado with a love of ballet, and enjoyed dancing, beginning as a young girl to her time at BYU. Marsha and Wayne found love at first sight. They met at a church dance, dated every day for six months, and loyally waited through his two year LDS mission. On May 29, 1975, ten weeks following his return, they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple for time and all eternity. Despite her struggles with MS, they were blessed with three wonderful children; Alisha, Derek, and Brenna. She loved her family, especially her eleven grandchildren, and lived for the memories she could create with them. Family trips to Hawaii and Disneyland were always a favorite. She loved watching her husband take beautiful photographs of landscapes, and was at peace looking at God\s glorious creations.

Marsha is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 40 years, Charles Wayne Fox Jr. of Draper, Utah, her 3 children; daughter Alisha Ann (Mike) Neyman, son Derek Wayne (Bailey) Fox, and daughter Brenna Sue (Kip) Carlsen, 11 grandchildren: T.J., Nate, McKay, Chaz, and Ellie Neyman; Charli and Kezzi Fox; Dylan, Sienna, Seth, and Nixon Carlsen, mother; Shirley Bruno Butler, sister; Raven Lynn Butler, brother; Karl Butler. She was preceded in death by her father Ray Alma Butler and sister Sharon Butler.
