Janice Pauline Day

1939 ~ 2015

On the evening of December 17, 2015, Janice peacefully passed away from complications of a stroke. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by her loving family. She was 76 years old.

Janice was born January 5, 1939 in Ogden, Utah to Melba and Winfield Hancock. She grew up in Ridgecrest, CA with her younger brother Paul Hancock.

Janice is survived by the love of her life, Lamar Day. They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 5, 1971. She was very proud of her large family. Her memory will be carried on by her 13 living children, 25 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and brother Paul. Janice was preceded in death by her daughter Diane Chaston and her parents.

We were very blessed to learn many valuable lessons from her during her 76 years and we will carry that piece of her with us throughout our lives.

The family wishes to thank all those who cared for her during her last few months, especially the Wentworth of Willow Creek and Inspiration Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy, UT.
