Janice Christenson Brown

1936 ~ 2017

Our beloved Janice Christenson Brown, passed away August 30th at the age of 81. The past few years she was affected by declining health and her battle with Alzheimer's.

Janice was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her two sons, Arlo and Steven Brown. She is also survived by her brother Richard Christenson and her Sister Gloria Belnap. She was preceded in death by her oldest son Royd Brown. Janice has a beautiful legacy of 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She cherished them all and was grateful she was able be so involved with them.

Through the years of decline, it was difficult for her to slowly loose her abilities to pursue her passions of sewing, reading, gardening and painting. However, the works of art she created remain. They carry much of her personality in them, along with a healthy dose of her favorite colors ranging from pale to vibrant yellows through hues of olive green. Those who ever visited her just smiled.

Janice had compassion for others. She exemplified it through action. She had a belief and faith in God and gave lifelong service in her church. She also worked in a career providing comfort and care for those in need by working in the home health industry. Janice set the standard for care and compassion as she left her career to attend to her own mother when the time arrived.

The family would like to sincerely express appreciation to Sarah Brown, Steve's Wife, who has been caring for Janice in their home for the past 3 1/2 years. There are no words...

There will be a private graveside service for the family on Tuesday September 5th, followed by an open house at 4:00 PM at the family home in Riverton, UT. Please inquire with the family if you would like information to attend.
