Daniel Joseph Roper

1991 ~ 2019

Daniel Joseph Roper returned to his Heavenly Father on December 9, 2019. We are deeply saddened to lose the light that he was in our lives, but are consoled knowing that he now is enveloped in the peace that he could not find in this life and is in the arms of those who have gone before.

Daniel was the quickest wit in the room and was always ready to tell an interesting fact he had recently learned. He loved to compliment others, help them feel better about themselves, and brighten their day. He willingly extended his tender heart to anyone in need. He had a soft spot for animals, especial-ly the cats he had known throughout his life.

Daniel survived a near fatal drowning accident as a young child, and we always knew that he was spared for a special purpose. He had many passions and talents, and he prided himself on being a good friend to others. He was often the first one to send a happy birthday wish or to express his sympathies during hard times. He taught us more than we can express, and we will miss him always.

A family remembrance ceremony was held for Daniel on December 13, where he was remembered tenderly. It was a blessing to know and love him during his time here on earth. Daniel was preceded in death by his father, David, and sister, Emily Roper. He is survived by his mother, Meleea Roper, his brothers John (Wendy) Roper and Mark (Britta) Roper, and his sisters Laura (Grady) LeBrun and Anne (Tom) Rowley.

If you would like to make a donation in his name to Best Friends Animal Society (bestfriends.org), we know he would be touched.

We love you, Daniel.
