H. Elmo Green

1924 ~ 2014

Elmo passed away peacefully in his sleep early in the morning of December 26, 2014. He was born September 12, 1924 to James and Mary Henrietta Green in Ephraim, Utah. Elmo married his sweetheart, Leia Elizabeth Densley on December 1, 1956, they spent 36 wonderful years together. He was a dedicated and loving husband and father. He has now gone to be with his sweetheart that he has missed and longed for the past 22 years. Elmo spent many hours involved in little league baseball that became a family activity and was a diehard Yankees fan. Elmo served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater on the USS Natoma Bay Aircraft Carrier from 1942 to 1946 and was very proud to be a veteran. He loved telling his children and grandchildren stories of when he served his country. He worked at Kennecott Copper for 34 years as a machinist.

Elmo is preceded in death by his wife, Leia, parents, and 7 brothers and one sister.

Elmo is survived by his two children, Maretta (Dan) Evans and Mark (Kelly) Green, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one sister. All who will miss him greatly.

As per Elmo's request there will be a private service for his immediate family members. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made your local Veterans Association.
