Jeanine Gwilliam

1929 ~ 2017

I was born to Lurline and Roy Dundas on August 22, 1929 in a small home at approximately 200 East and Kensington Avenue (1500 South) in Salt Lake City, Utah. I was the seventh girl to join our family. Before me came, Nola just ten years old, Jean (who passed away before she turned six), Shirley, Marion, Noreen, Myrna and then me. I followed the normal academic path. Whittier Elementary, Irving Junior High (now Olympus Jr High). That is where I met Dale Gwilliam while in the eighth grade and together we went to Granite High School. We married in 1946 and were blessed with seven precious children. Kristine Boswell, Tom (Penny), Biff (Barbara), Debra Stephens (Tom), Carrie Detwiler (Dale), Paula Bray (Larry) and Barney (Cathy). We have been blessed with 42 grandchildren, 128 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

I have lived a very blessed life. Although there were trials that seemed insurmountable, with the constant presence of my Heavenly Father, the teaching of a wise husband (who, on February 23, 2001, left me too soon), and a loving family and friends to comfort, guide and teach me, I learned many valuable lessons. Mostly love, gratitude and service.

I leave this earthly life as I have lived it, with a happy heart full of gratitude and love. This is a gift I pass on to each and every one of my posterity. I'm going home to find Dale.
