1966 ~ 2017

Cynthia (Cindi) Kathleen Davies, beloved mother, daughter and wife, passed on Sunday, June 25th 2017. She is survived by a blessed family, including her four children Christian David, Celeste Danielle, Ian Mark and Connor Scott, her Husband Mark Joseph, and siblings Brian Houlihan, Melanie Manwaring, Charles (CJ) Wolf, and Eric Wolf.

Cindi was born on March 13, 1966 in Waukegan, Illinois. From a young age, she was an accomplished ballet dancer, eventually earning a professional position with the Evanston Ballet Company, while still in her teens. While attending Brigham Young University on academic scholarship, she was offered a second scholarship from the Theater Ballet Company after they saw her dance. Cindi graduated with an undergraduate degree in accounting and earned a master's degree summa cum laude in business administration from BYU. She had an illustrious professional career, including roles at Price Waterhouse, Hewlett Packard, Dell Computers and Comcast NBC Universal. While at Comcast she was a corporate officer and served as Chief Global Risk Officer. She earned numerous industry accolades, highlighted by the 2015 Cablefax Most Powerful Women in Cable award and the prestigious Multichannel News Wonder Woman award, honoring female executives at the forefront of cable television and communications. She had an avid passion to develop young professionals, touching countless numbers of individuals through her tireless focus on creating opportunities, establishing learning forums and sharing advice and experience. She leaves a profound professional legacy which will surely carry on.

While Cindi was an extraordinary executive, she also had a burning passion to serve others, making it a mission to volunteer her time and resources to improve her community. She served on the Boards of Ballet Austin, Philadelphia University, Community Partnership Charter School in Philadelphia and the American Freedom Festival Stadium of Fire in Provo, Utah. Cindi was on the National Advisory Council of the Brigham Young University School of Business and was appointed the Director of Public Relations for the building and opening of the Philadelphia Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Over the last year, she served others as a volunteer at the Salt Lake Temple and a volunteer at the speech pathology section of Inter-Mountain TOSH Hospital.

Above anything else, Cindi was a dedicated, loving mother. The love she had and expressed for her children was endless, and even though she was an exceptionally accomplished woman, she believed her children were her greatest accomplishment. One of her favorite quips was "I'm a Mom, if you think my hands are full, you should see my heart". She raised her children in her beloved Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, spending her days and years teaching, counseling, setting examples and encouraging Chris, Celeste, Ian and Connor to be the best they could be. Her heart was filled with the Spirit and she was an inspiration to all as she lived her life goal of building an eternal family.

Cindi was special. A one of a kind, one in a million. Her smile was infectious and her laugh brightened any day or circumstance. Anyone who observed her love for family and her tireless charity immediately recognized the truth and purity of Cindi's heart. In the last 14 months of her life, she waged a courageous battle against cancer, and throughout this time of immense trial, she increased her commitment to give back, care for others and strengthen her family. Her strength and bravery during this time was a testimony to her Faith and belief in the beauty of Heaven and Eternal Families. She taught us how to live a blessed life and served as a beacon of love, hope and charity. Cindi will be an eternal light to all those who knew her. We love you, Mom. We love you, Dear.
