Geraldine Goff Vest passed away on August 26, 2017 in Fallon, NV. at the age of 89. She was born in Park City Utah on April 28, 1928. She was the second of twelve brothers and sisters. In June of 1944, she married Acy Vest, together they raised three children. Kathleen, Daniel, and David. Kathleen passed away in 1963.
Geri and Acy were married in the temple in 1964. Geri was an active member of the LDS church and held many positions thru out the years. She also served in the Jordan River Temple with Acy for many years.
After retirement, she and Acy would go and camp for the summers in the Provo river campground where they met many new friends. She loved to cook and play cards. She would bake bread and give to her neighbors. In return, they would bring her fish they had caught.
She is survived by her sons- Daniel (Cindy) Vest of Muscatine, Iowa. David (Kerry) Vest of Fallon, Nevada. Grandsons- Daniel (Stacey) of Daybreak, Utah. Jeremy (Alena) Vest of Fallon, Nevada. Charles Vest of Fallon, Nevada. Step -grandchildren- Kacey (Sean)Donahue of Ely, Nevada. Eyrica Cardin of Salmon, Idaho. Chris Delong and Jimmy Delong of Muscatine, Iowa. Great-grandchildren- Breanna, Makala, Charolette, Carson, Dakota, Brook, Jaylee, Jenny, James, Adam, Logan, Levi, Zachary, Skylar, and one great-great grandson Liam. Brothers- Robert (Linda), Arthur (Cassie) Goff of Elko, Nevada and Evelyn Yates of Bountiful, Utah.
Funeral services will be held on Sept. 2, 2017 at 11 am at the Sage Crest Ward, 1280 Turquoise St. in Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Internment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery where she will be laid next to her husband Acy and daughter Kathleen.
