Louetta Peery Pack Meldrum

1918 ~ 2014

Louetta Peery Pack Meldrum, 96, was granted her angel wings on June 22, 2014. Born May 20, 1918 in Spring Lake, UT, one of four children to Mary Anderson Peery and Benjamin Claude Peery.

She was born of pioneering stock. A true farmer's girl, raising alfalfa, hay for their animal, and sugar beets and corn to sell.

She loved making her own gowns and going to the Coconut Grove Ballroom in downtown Salt Lake with her friend Jewel. Her dance card was filled before she was half way up the entrance ramp.

She married Karl Pack and together they had a daughter, Charlene. Later separated. She then married Harold Meldrum and together they had a daughter, Nadene, and a son, Gary. Later separated.

She worked several jobs through the years. She loved listening to western music, talking with her family on the phone, having her nails always painted red, watching the Price is Right, going to Wendover, having coffee with her best friend Lita Meyers and playing with her two cats Cindy and Rudy.

She was always very headstrong and fiercely independent. She was brave, strong-willed and she truly found the world beautiful. She always had such a sweet spirit and anyone close to her knew she had a special loving, caring way about her. She had a wonderful sense of humor!
