Betty Nadine McLeod Wardrop

1925 ~ 2017

Betty Nadine McLeod Wardrop, 91, after a very full life and 27 year wait, was taken home to be with her eternal companion and dance once again. She was born September 9, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Mattie Elizabeth Thompson and James William McLeod. She married her sweetheart, Robert Sterling Wardrop in Salt Lake City and together raised their 4 children.

She cherished her membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was always active by attending the temple, fulfilling her callings, serving others and sharing her testimony. Even after Dad was gone, she was supported by and stayed close to her "lake house" friends. She loved to cook, arrange flowers, go fishing, eat treats and be around the family, doing anything and everything. She always kept her nails painted, lipstick on and heels with a skirt a must, even into her 90's. She loved to dance and see others dance and always told about the days her and Dad won dance competitions. In her later years she painted ceramics and won many blue ribbons at shows and fairs. She gave many of her beautiful pieces to family and friends.

Betty is survived by her children; Sharyl (Darrel) Hanzon, Bob (Kathy), Diane (Tom) Latimer, Scott (Shauna). She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren and their spouses, 49 great-grandchildren, her youngest sister Bonnie Lee Mcleod, and her two special friends at The Heritage Place, Marlene Stark and Mary Lee Martin. She is preceded in death by her loving and eternal companion Robert and her sisters LaVerl Wright and Glayds Robinson.

The family would like to thank all those at The Heritage Place in Bountiful and Envision Hospice for their loving and gentle care of Betty.
