Warren Howard Fraser

1929 ~ 2015

Warren Howard Fraser, our beloved father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather, began his journey through life at the Los Angeles Orphans Children's Home in December 1929. He was adopted by Thomas William Fraser and Bessie Hannah Brunk Fraser, who loved him deeply and constantly. Warren was raised in Bakersfield, California and Las Vegas, Nevada. He was married to Sandra Smith in the St. George Temple on July 18, 1958. He attended UC Berkeley, BYU, and UCLA, receiving a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MBA. Warren had a long and successful career in the electric power industry.

At the age of 14, Warren was given a horse he named Redwing, which sparked a life-long love of horses. He bred and trained Arabian horses until he was nearly 80 years old. Warren also loved the sun and the ocean.

Warren was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Following his military service, he served an LDS Mission in the Northwestern States from 1955 to 1957. Throughout his life he also served wherever called as a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Warren is survived by his wife Sandra and seven children: Susan Johnson (Kerry), Anna Witcher (Jeffrey), Thomas Fraser (Monique), Mary Johnson (Mark), David Fraser (Anna), Jennifer Fraser Parrish, and Elisabeth Larson (Steven). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
