Gene Marie Stewart Gardner, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on February 22, 2018. She was born in Colorado Springs, CO on August 23, 1925 to John L. and Grace Carroll Stewart. She graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1943.
She is survived by two daughters, Genalee A. Coca, Grace Gardner husband Stephen P. Trover, three grandchildren, Graham S. Watkins, Ian P. Watkins and Bethany Watkins Hutchison husband Bryan Hutchison and two great-grandsons, Primus Watkins and Micah Hutchison. Preceded in death by her first husband, LeRoy Skiles Gardner and second husband, Melvin Gilbert.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, UT. Gene will be interred with her parents in Colorado Springs, CO later this spring.
