Lawrence Clinton Brady

1928 ~ 2014

Lawrence Clinton Brady (86) died peacefully in his home Monday July 21, 2014 from complications from surgery due to a fall.

He was born on June 25, 1928 to Lawrence Henry (Slats) and Elizabeth Blair Brady. The oldest child in his family and had a lot of responsibilities around the farm. That gave him a very strong work ethic throughout his life.

Clint joined the U.S. Army and served his country proudly during the Korean War.

He married Nyleen Neilson on October 11, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had 4 daughters: Roxie Brady, Becky Pugmire, Janet Jensen and Lisa Babbel. He was a very devoted husband and father. He loved his family and called them his \"pride and joy\".

Clint graduated from BYU with Bachelor\s Degree in Industrial Arts and taught shop at Valley Junior High School for 17yrs. He influenced the lives of many students during his time there. He the became a general contractor and built more than 200 homes around the Salt Lake Valley.

Clint enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing, and traveling. He and Nyleen enjoyed taking bus trips to Tuacahn, Wendover, Las Vegas and elsewhere. They also loved playing games with the senior citizens. They spent many days a week playing Bingo, Pinochle, and other card games, and were thrilled when they would win the \"pot\". They would celebrate by going to dinner at Golden Corral.

Clint and Nyleen were very busy up until he fell, which changed their lives drastically. But Clint was never a complainer. Up until the very end of his life, when asked how he was doing, he always said \"I am fine.\" Clint was loved by his family for his tender heart, honesty, strong work ethic, and sense of humor.

Clint survived by his wife, Nyleen and three daughters, Roxann Brady (Reginald Dias- deceased), Becky Pugmire (Bruce), and Lisa Babbel (Bill-deceased); siblings, Geneene Brady, Gene Lee Brady (Nikki) and Sherrie Cottle (Roger) and eleven grandchildren.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, his brother Perry Blair Brady (Carol), and his daughter Janet Jensen (Jeff).

A celebration of Clint\s life will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East 10600 South Sandy, Utah on Monday July 28, 2014 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. with grave side service immediately following.
