Mildred Elaine Kruetzfeldt

1922 ~ 2015

Mildred Elaine Saylor Kruetzfeldt, born July 26,1922 in Grand Island Nebraska to her parents Ralph W. Saylor and Clara Rehder Saylor. She passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Mildred graduated high school in 1939 in Grand Island Nebraska. She began working at the telephone office as a switchboard operator and became the youngest supervisor at age 18, where she caught the eye of her future husband and love of her life Bill Kruetzfeldt. The two started dating, and were married five years later on January 2, 1945.

They were practically inseparable over the next 70 years. Bill and Mille, as they were to their friends, loved to dance and were the presidents and chair members of several dance clubs, and are the last surviving members of the original "Hi Steppers" (formed in 1952). Bill the entertainer and Mildred the great hostess, loved to throw parties with their many friends and family members.

They moved to the Salt Lake Valley in 1946 and have been in the area ever since. She managed the Charleston apts. for 26 years where she retired. They loved to travel and spent many of their winters in Palm Springs, CA. She loved to serve others and could warm any room with her bright smile, soft voice and laugh. She was the definition of a \"lady\". She will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched.

She is survived by her husband Bill, close friends and family. She is preceded in death by her two younger sisters; Doris Grennan, and Irene Schweiger.

"I fell in love with her smile." Willis A. (Bill) Kruetzfeldt.

Services will be held by the family at a later date.
