Robert Hill Parkin

1936 ~ 2019

On November 22, 2019, Robert Hill Parkin surrounded by is family left this earth and returned to his loving Heavenly Father and back into the arms of his loving wife. Born to Lincoln Dewey Parkin and Florence Hill Parkin September 9, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Robert married Janice Rowley on August 9, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a full time mission to Tokyo, Japan and various church callings. He worked for several years as a non-food Manager for Dan's foods which he retired from. He loved his customers and socializing with everyone who came into the store. He loved people! He loved traveling with his wife even short weekend getaways. They enjoyed their time together. He loved watching all sports but his favorite was cheering on the University of Utah Utes and the Utah Jazz. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and playing all sorts of games.

Survived by his loving children: Son, Jeff Parkin; Daughters, Diane Alder and Jana (Kim) Roundy; Seven Grandchildren who he adored, Chelsea (Tyler Miller) Parkin, Tyler (Caitlyn) Roundy, Kaylea (Daniel) Longmore, Michael Parkin, Josh Roundy, Jayden and Kylee Alder; one Great ‚Grandson, Adonis Miller, and many other family members. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Janice Rowley Parkin; Son, Michael Robert Parkin; Parents; Sisters, Janeal (Glen) Hancock and Marilyn (Bob) Epperson; Grandson, Travis Roundy.

Family would like to thank the care he received at Life Care Center of Bountiful. He loved the friends he made there and Bingo.

Services will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gailey Park Chapel (331 South 50 West, Kaysville, Utah). Friends and Family may call to the church Tuesday prior to the services from 10:00-10:45 a.m.

Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery (1950 East 10600 South), Sandy, Utah
