Gene Clifford Jorgensen passed away peacefully at his home on August 9th 2020 at 11:01 pm surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 25, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the first boy after four girls.

Gene grew up at the bottom of Third Avenue and loved downtown Salt Lake City. He went to Horace Mann Junior High and graduated from West High School in 1968. Gene worked at many jobs to support his family. Eventually owning his own business as a Certified Residential Appraiser, SRA for over 48 years.

Gene loved to go Deer hunting with his family for many years. He loved to take his family on vacation and always made it a priority. He loved to go up to Pineview reservoir boating. He enjoyed going camping with his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Lady DI.

Gene loved to take each of his 13 grandchildren to dinner individually for their birthdays with his wife Lorraine.

Gene is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Lorraine Chatwin Jorgensen and his 4 children:

Janice and Alexander Aarabi, Mietra and Rich Brown, Armon, Keon, Brooke, Tirah, and Laila Aarabi

Robert and Tammy Jorgensen, Jocelyn Jorgensen, Michael and Tyler Jorgensen Great grandchildren Elliot and Oliver.

Rebecca and S. Brigg Miller, Talmage, Hayden, Lillian, and Sam Turpin, Dominick and Haley Miller and their girls Clover and Ivy.

Brittany and Matthew Zetterquist, Jesse and James Zetterquist.

His Sister Patricia and Sydney Mulcock.
His brothers’ in-law Bob and Diann Chatwin and Philip and Judy Chatwin and many nieces and nephews.

Gene is preceded in death by his Father Clifford Andy Jorgensen, and Mother Myrtle Andersen, Sisters, Rae Lynn Rae, Joan Ivory, Linda Janke, and one brother Jerry Jorgensen.

There will be a private family only viewing on Friday morning with a Graveside service at Murray City Cemetery at 1:30 pm. Please practice social distancing and wear a mask. There will be limited seating provided, you may bring your own chair if desired.

Gene will be interred at the Murray City Cemetery directly after.
