Amber Lee Wornica

1985 ~ 2016

Our dear sweet Amber passed away suddenly January 13, 2016 at the age of 31. Amber Lee Wornica was born January 11, 1985, to her loving parents Terry and Connie Evans; she was the light of their lives. She was raised in Sandy, Utah. Amber graduated from Jordan High School, and attended Dixie State College. There she met the love of her life, Nathan Wornica. Together they had just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary.

Amber danced from the age of three, collecting rooms full of trophies. As a young girl she enjoyed dancing in the Ballet West Nutcracker. Amber was a member of the JHS Charlonian Drill Team, and the Dixie State Rebelettes. She was honored to be a Utah Jazz Dancer. She taught ballet for several years in Las Vegas. Amber had a great love of all music, playing piano, and singing Beatles songs with her sister. She was so proud of the progression of her brother's band, and always loved when she could catch a show. Amber enjoyed golf, cross country skiing, and weekend trips to the beach. Together Amber and Nate loved their two dogs, horseback riding at Lake Tahoe, and breakfasts at Seal Beach. Their passion was to travel; they had so many places to go.

Amber's career blossomed in Las Vegas. Her innate business sense was noticed and rewarded at the Mirage Hotel. She looked at each day as an opportunity to educate herself, share her strengths, reach her goals, and always be an example to others. Amber was not only a friend, but a fan of those around her.

Amber was truly a selfless, loving young woman. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and inner strength were immeasurable. It is rare indeed that someone's outer beauty is eclipsed only by their inner beauty.

Amber is survived by her loving and protective husband Nate, mother and father, sister Lindsey, brother Christopher, and her loving nephews Brett and Austin. She will be deeply missed by her grandmother Connie, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 25, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 So. Sandy, UT.
