"We Know that she would be with us; If Heaven wasn't so far away"
Dennise Gentry, known as \"Denny\", returned home to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 27, 2018 in Oakley, Utah at the age of 89.
Denny was born on March 1, 1929 in Ripton, California to William Lee Roome and Jeanette Gertrude Scholten. Denny married Perry Gentry on June 12, 1954 and had three children. Denny enjoyed life and always had a smile on her face. Her one great love was God. She was an active lifelong member of the Church of Nazarene. She enjoyed traveling, camping, bowling, playing games, working in the yard, watching tennis, and spending time with her family. She retired from Bank of America after twenty years. Denny was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years and in 1997 moved to Utah to be close to her family until her passing.
She is survived by her two brothers, Orvin Roome and wife, Corine; Bob Roome and wife, Linda; her three wonderful children; daughter, Bonnie Guzman and husband, Gary; son, Gary Gentry and wife, Sundie; daughter, Patty Hooser and husband, Don. Grandchildren: Lori Stark, Joe Stark, Josh Gentry, Sierra Zatsky, Anthony DeGreef, Jeremiah DeGreef, and ten great grandchildren.
"Celebration of Life" will be held, in lieu of a service. Times and locations will be announced at a later date.
Interment at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, CA.
