Dorothy \"Dottie\" Pace

1939 ~ 2018

Dorothy "Dottie" Pace, born on December 20, 1939, returned to her Heavenly Father on August 1, 2018. She grew up on a farm with caring brothers and sisters, which fostered their close, life-long relationships and a strong work ethic. A dedicated wife and mother, Dottie created a loving home for a "yours, mine, and ours" family that included her hard-working husband, Glen, 3 sons and 4 daughters, and several others she embraced as her own. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 53 years, one daughter, and several beloved family members.

Dottie put others before herself. She was caring and beautiful, inside and out. Dottie showed her love and light for everyone through daily service, a warm smile, embracing hugs, and freshly baked goodies. She was mindful of those around her wherever she went and frequently "sensed" exactly what they needed in the moment. Affectionately known as the Cookie Lady, the Banana-Pineapple Bread Lady, and Gram to so many people who were fortunate to meet or know her.

Dottie enjoyed baking, crocheting, and sewing, and she shared her exceptional talents by teaching the younger generation. She often gave her beautiful handcrafted works to others as "just because" gifts. Keeping uplifting music in her heart, Dottie would routinely sing to loved ones and break out into song wherever she went. She frequently expressed gratitude for all who touched her life and for her many blessings.

A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Dottie served in several capacities, including serving a mission with her husband in West Virginia. She especially enjoyed temple work as well as teaching children and the Young Women.
