Our sweet mother passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 17, 2017. She was born September 22, 1951 to Wally and Shirley Nielsen in Provo, UT. She was a sparkling addition to the world. She made every family event memorable with her quick wit and incredible sense of humor. Our mom had the ability to make everyone feel welcome and accepted. She had a huge heart and loved everyone unconditionally. Her strong unwavering faith guided her through her experiences. Her journey has been filled with miracles and brought a light that shined deeply into the hearts of those she knew. Her strength brought her full circle to reassure us that she found peace and a genuine love for her Father in Heaven. She was a valiant spirit that found joy in serving the Lord.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her father George Wallace Nielsen. She is survived by her mother Shirley Irene Nielsen, children, Rachelle Rowan, Candisse Rowan-Bradley (Royce), Lyndsey Horn (Dennis) and Jesse Scott (Alison), her grandchildren, Joshua Rowan, Sierra Eberhart, Xavier Bradley, Katelyn Horn, Kassydie Horn, Christian Scott and Henley Scott, and great grandchild Rhea-lee Lane Rowan.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rhonda's life at a funeral service which will be held in her honor on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at the Midvalley Stake Center, 1106 East 8050 South in Sandy, with viewings held Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road in Sandy and Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
