Robert L. Scott passed away on March 26, 2018 due to complications from surgery.
Born in American Fork, Utah, he is the son of Charles Rex Scott and Kaye Webb Scott. He graduated from Skyline High School, Class of 1986. He served an LDS mission in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi (Florida, Tallahassee Mission). He met his wife shortly after returning. He married Jacqueline Harris on October 9, 1990 in Sandy, Utah. Together they had 4 children and lived in Tennessee for twelve years.
He was the kindest soul you would ever meet. He would bend over backwards to help someone in need. When returning to Utah, Rob got a job at Utah Transit Authority driving a bus through the streets of Salt Lake. He loved his job. Meeting new and interesting people was his favorite part.
He is survived by his wife Jackie and children: Summer Scott, West Jordan; Stefan Scott, West Jordan; Seth (Jazmyne) Scott, Tucson, AZ; Shaina (Dustin) and beautiful granddaughter Lorelai/Rory Gilger, Midvale, Utah; father and stepmother, Rex and Linda Scott, SLC; siblings, David (Becci) Scott, Switzerland; Michael (Sandi) Scott, West Jordan; Steven (Jodi) Scott, Highland; Lynnette (Ben) Behunin, SLC; Kenneth (Jen) Scott, SLC; Kathi (Nathan) Hammond, Phoenix, AZ; Mark (Amber) Lund, West Jordan; Daniel (Holly) Scott, Farmington; Michael (Alyssa) Lund, SLC; 9 step siblings and their families, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his mother Kaye Scott and father and mother-in-law Clarence and Carolyn Harris.
There will be a viewing Monday April 2nd from 6-8pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 E Dimple Dell Road (10600 S) Sandy, Utah. On April 3rd there will be a viewing prior to the funeral from 10:00-10:45 am. Funeral at will be at 11 am. There will be a gathering at St James Episcopal Church 7486 Union Park Ave Midvale, Ut for family and close friends.
