Our dear daughter, mother, sister, and friend Denise Lynn Ellison Jorgensen, 59, passed away February 15, 2018 in Sandy, Utah. Born to Alvin Leroy Ellison and Catherine Harriett Cone Muchow on April 14, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Denise attended Westminster College, continuing a family legacy, where she obtained a degree in Childhood Education. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where some of her favorite callings were in the Primary, Nursery, and Girls Camp. She also served on the school board for a number of years. Denise enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, reading, painting, and spending time with family, especially going up to her father\s cabin. She was a hardworker, outstanding person, a teacher, and a great example of service. Most of all she was a devoted mother.
Survived by her father Alvin Ellison; her step-father Ron Muchow; her children Brandon, Courtney, Ben (Danie), Quinton (Rachel), and Hillary (Curtis); her sisters Nannette (Robert) Brown and Jennifer Ellison. Preceded in death by her mother Catherine Muchow.
Services will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 12:00 noon at an LDS Chapel, 5913 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
