Jayne Warnock Harding

1926 ~ 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jayne Warnock Harding.

She was a great lady who raised two exceptional children, and helped to raise exceptional grandchildren and remarkable great-grandchildren.

Jayne was born in Salt Lake City to Margaret and Robert Warnock on September 27, 1926. She attended East High School and the University of Utah. She married Gordon Blair Harding in 1947—there began a love story with a big band sound track. He preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert Warnock and David Warnock. She has one surviving sister, Gayle Warnock Parry.

Jayne worked in insurance and retired from Cigna Insurance Company. She loved to dance, and was a wonderful wife, mother, and sister. Jayne was also an avid bridge player, and did we mention she liked to dance?

Her friends and family will always remember her for her wry sense of humor, her laugh, her intelligence, and her empathetic values.

She is survived by her children, David Blair Harding and Julie Spencer, her grandchildren, Andrew Spencer and Alexander Spencer, and her great-grandchildren Cameron, Emma, Colin, and Molly.

A celebration of Jayne\s life will be held at her daughters home on Saturday February 2nd. The open house will be from noon to 3:00 pm.
