In loving memory of Chris West, cherished husband, father, grandson, son, brother, uncle and friend to all who had the honor of knowing him. Chris was raised by his grandparents, who he absolutely appreciated and adored, Wendell and Beverly Turnbow. Growing up, Chris enjoyed shooting firearms, riding motorcycles, camping trips and caring for his several snakes. His favorite reptile, a ball python, Bubbles, he had for almost 31 years.
On July 3, 2007, Chris married Heather Erickson. Almost six years later, Heather gave birth to their pride and joy, Ruger William-Wendell West. From the day Ruger was born, Chris cherished every possible minute with his son. They enjoyed shooting firearms, playing video games, the weekly "Nerf" wars and driving their RC cars. On most Saturday nights, Chris, Heather and Ruger enjoyed family nights next to their fireplace while watching movies or just enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
Chris is survived by his wife Heather West, son Ruger West, grandparents Wendell and Beverly Turnbow, mother Robyn Newsome, brothers Jess Smith and Dylan Baird and sisters Ashley Newsome and Heather Newsome.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, UT. A private graveside service will be held.
