Penelope "Penny" Faye Allen Meadows passed away June 26, 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born September 23, 1957 in Hamilton, Fairfield County, Ohio to Louis J. and Geneva Little Allen. Penny was a graduate of Fairfield High School and Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, Ohio. After graduation, she began working in the Deaconess Hospital ICU. Soon after, she moved to Salt Lake City and began her career as an operating room nurse. Penny recently retired from the University of Utah Hospital. Penny loved working alongside all her co-workers, especially her favorite, Robb, who just so happens to be her son.
Penny was very active in the LDS Church where she served as an organist and pianist. Her favorite calling by far was serving as the Primary pianist. Penny's endless kindness and generosity allowed her to serve all those in need. She had many talents including beading, crocheting and making nativity scenes.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband Charles B. Meadows, children Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Meadows, Charles Robert "Robb the favorite co-worker" Meadows, Dillon (Kalie) Neal, her granddaughter Shaylee Rayne Meadows, sisters Sharon Louise (Walter) Prickett of Fairfield, Ohio, Marla Jean (Alan) Pulsipher of Greentown, Indiana, Melonie Jo (Ed) Michaels of Hamilton, Ohio, brother David Lee (Martha) Allen of Tooele, Utah and her many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 6, 2018 at the LDS Church located at 2180 East Meadowlark Way, Sandy, Utah. A visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, UT and Friday morning from 11:00 ‚ 11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
