Our loving father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather, Harrison Marion Peed, 94, passed away Nov. 11, 2013 of natural causes. He was born May 9, 1919 in Brush, Colorado, along with his twin sister, the eldest of seven children born to Elzie Peed and Irene Tenant Peed. Married Carla Means Peed on July 8, 1948 in Salt Lake City.
Served in the Army Air Force during WWII; learned his trade as an electrician while in the Army Air Force; worked for R. F. Jones and Struvi Distributing, repairing juke boxes and pinball machines for many years. He loved to go fishing and camping with his family and was always busy fixing things around the house and keeping his cars running smoothly.
Predeceased by mother, father, twin sister, Alice, and wife, Carla. Survived by three children, Harrison Peed, Jr., Carolyn Peed, and Gary (Louise) Reed. Also survived by two brothers and three sisters, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held on Friday Nov. 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, UT, where a viewing will be held from 12:00-1:45 p.m. prior to services.
