Patricia Anne Rasmussen Kaelberer

1938 ~ 2018

Anne passed away peacefully on June 27, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family following a long battle with Alzheimer's at the age of 80. She was born in Salt Lake City to Bill and Florence Rasmussen on May 5, 1938 and was the second of three children. She graduated from East High School and attended Stevens-Henager College where she studied secretarial duties. Early in her career, she worked for Freed Finance before meeting Bob Kaelberer, whom she married on August 31, 1957. She has 3 children for whom she cared for while Bob travelled selling Caterpillar equipment for Wheeler Machinery.

Anne was a champion of the underdog and was always looking for ways to serve those around her. She cared for many people in her neighborhood, taking them to and from activities and helping them in their homes. Anne was also an amazing musician and was frequently found at the piano transposing music for Road Shows/Spring Sings, organizing small orchestras or bands and accompanying many soloists. She was most comfortable out of the lime light but loved to share her amazing musical talents. Many were blessed by her unselfish service whether it was a loaf of her circle bread, musical talents or skill with the sewing machine.

She is survived by her husband, Bob, three children Robert (Lisa), Alison Nitz (Mike) and Dan (Lindsay), 14 grandchildren, her brother Craig Rasmussen (Marilyn), and her sister-in-law Nydia Rasmussen. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bill Rasmussen. We express our appreciation to all those neighbors, friends and family who cared for Anne during her time with Alzheimer's.
