Lemmie Beth Christensen returned to her Heavenly Father on July 20, 2016 in Sandy UT. Beth is survived by her husband of 45 years, Douglas V. Christensen, son Matthew (Tanya) and daughters Kiora (Adam), Nurel (J'Anne), Molly (Jeremy) and 12 grandchildren.
Beth was born January 3, 1946 Portsmouth, VA, to Lemmie and Mary Shew. Beth graduated from the University of New Mexico. Beth and Doug were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They have resided in Sandy, UT for 35 years. Beth enjoyed family, genealogy, sewing and missionary work. Beth and Doug recently returned from serving an honorable mission in the Oregon Eugene Mission. She became acquainted and grew to love over 250 missionaries while working in the mission office. She filled many ward and stake church positions and served in the Draper Utah Temple. She was active in the community and served as PTA president. Her love and influence will be missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Crescent Ridge 5th Ward, 11164 South Londonderry Drive, Sandy, UT. A visitation will be held Monday evening from 6-8 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy and from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the services at the church.
