Sheldon L. Angell

1929 ~ 2016

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Sheldon L. Angell passed away peacefully on July 17, 2016 in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Sheldon was born February 9, 1929 in Leeds, Utah to Charles Wilkinson Angell and Ellen Maud Rees.

Sheldon graduated from East High School where he took State in wrestling. After graduating he joined the Army and served in the Korean War. After returning from Korea he worked in construction. He then met the love of his life, Marjorie Martin Angell and they married July 27, 1956. They would be celebrating 60 years of marriage this year.

Sheldon then returned to University of Utah where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. In 1961 he started his career at Hercules, Inc. where he worked until he retired in 1993. After retiring, he was able to pursue his favorite hobbies such as golf, square dancing, traveling and spending time with his family. Sheldon was also a dedicated, life-long member of the Christian Science Church.

Sheldon will be missed by his loving wife Marjorie, sons Michael (Diane) McNeil, Craig McNeil, Kent (Holly) Angell, Douglas (Carolyn) Angell, Scott (Judy) Angell, and daughter JoAnn (Darren) Green, sister Lilian (Jay) Palmer, brother Larry Angell, 17 grand-children, and 13 great grand-children. He is preceded in death by his parents and 7 siblings.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Larkin Sunset Gardens at 1950 Dimple Dell Rd (10600 South), Sandy, UT 84092. The visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. followed by the memorial service in the chapel. The graveside service will follow immediately after. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Stroke Association in Sheldon's name.
