Pamela Claire Petuskey

1953 ~ 2016

Our beloved daughter and sister Pamela Claire Petuskey passed away in the evening of June 13, 2016 at the age of 63. She was born March 27, 1953 to William G. and Karna B. Petuskey.

Pam grew up in the community of Kearns, Utah, having gone through all levels of public school there. After attending Utah State University for one year, she completed a bachelors degree at the University of Utah in early childhood education, with significant other training in music performance and nursing. She taught elementary school for ten years, followed by a lengthy career in technical writing for health care delivery innovation companies. In the midst of this, she served an LDS mission to Ecuador where she reveled in the warm and welcoming culture of its people. Family, children, animals, music, and the LDS church were her great loves, providing her a full and fulfilling life.

Pamela is survived by her mother Karna B. Petuskey, her brother William T. Petuskey, her sister-in-law Karen B. Ouzts, her nephew Alexander K. Petuskey, and her "four-legged" kids (Phoebe and Jasper). She is preceded in death by her father William G. Petuskey.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 12:00 pm (noon) at the Monument Park Stake Center (1320 Wasatch Drive, Salt Lake City) followed by interment at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery (2350 E 1300 S; Salt Lake City, UT).

Preceding these, viewings will be held on Friday evening (June 17, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery) and just prior to the funeral (June 18, 10:45 am to 11:45 am at the Monument Park Stake Center).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the "Best Friends Animal Society" (http://bestfriends.org/donate), a philanthropic organization that was especially important to Pam, or to LDS Humanitarian Services.
