Earl Emmett Goodsell

1946 ~ 2017

There was a beautiful reunion in heaven when Butch was reunited with his beloved mom who passed away in 2011.

Butch was born on February 19, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He passed away on January 24, 2017 of natural causes. He was preceded in death by his Father (Ralph), Mother (Catherine) and brother (Rick).

He is survived by his Brothers Randy and Richard (Shari), Sisters Karen and Kathy, Sister-in-Law Patti, six nieces and nephews and their children.

Butch graduated from the University of Utah with a B.A. in Political Science and a Minor in Russian. He was a devoted employee of Eimco, Beehive International, Newspaper Agency Corp., and the US Postal Service.

He was a lifelong sports fan and a very knowledgeable, dedicated and loyal fan of the Yankees, Browns, and Lakers.

Butch loved coaching and coached Youth Baseball for close to 20 years. He volunteered thousands of hours and was truly a "players coach". He was very successful, winning several Babe Ruth State Titles. He was an unconventional coach and coached the way he lived. He did it his way.

Butch was a loving, caring and fiercely protective Son, Brother, Uncle and Great Uncle. He was a loyal, dedicated, and trustworthy friend who was always there in the good and bad times. He was simply a good guy who tried to make life better for those he touched and we were lucky enough to call him both brother and great friend.

Butch will be missed dearly and never forgotten.

We Love You Bufie!!!
