Malcolm Jeffery, 76, died peacefully at his home in Sandy, Utah on October 5, 2017 after his well-used heart gave out on him from a lifetime of helping anyone and everyone. If you knew Malcolm he probably fixed your car, mowed your lawn after helping repair your lawnmower, or removed snow from your driveway - your neighbor's driveway and possibly every driveway on the street.
We were blessed to learn many things from Malcolm during his time with us including how a fuel pump works, to always have spare car parts on hand, to save money, and how to catch a fish...sometimes.
He loved his 1979 Honda Civic like he loved his children. Even after he rolled it on the freeway, kicked out the windshield, and drove it home. Always have spare car parts on hand!
He excelled at living within his means, teaching anyone who would listen, fixing cars, and collecting treasures. He leaves behind a hell of a lot of stuff his wife and seven children have no idea what to do with, but his nine grandchildren will likely view as treasures much as he did. We will undoubtedly find a fuel pump or two that we may not recognize due to our inattention during fuel pump lessons.
Services will be held Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 11 AM at Larkin Sunset Gardens (1950 E Dimple Dell Rd, Sandy, UT 84092) with viewings prior to the service at 10 AM and on Wednesday, October 11 from 6-8 PM. Interment will follow at Elysian Burial Gardens (1075 E 4580 S).
