Jay Ross Sindorf

1931 ~ 2018

Jay Ross Sindorf passed away onJuly 26, 2018in Sandy, Utah. He was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Sindorf. Jay was born on March 24, 1931 in Greensburg, Pa. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War as an electrical technician. Prior to going to college his father taught him to be a journeyman carpenter which served him well throughout his life. In 1962 Jay received a Bachelor's Degree from Brigham Young University in Social Work and then went on to get a Master's Degree at Indiana University. He owned a partnership in a residential treatment center in Sacramento, Calif and served as the Director for many years. He retired in 1996. Jay joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1956. He was a devoted member and faithfully served in various capacities throughout his life. Jay loved his Heavenly Father.

He is survived by his beloved wife Donna of 58 years and his children who he dearly loved: Vicki (Christopher) Busby of Granite Bay, Calif., Tamara Sindorf of N. San Juan, Calif, Michael Sindorf of Roseville, Calif. David Sindorf of Sandy, Utah and a brother Joseph Sindorf of San Jose, Calif. Jay loved his four grandchildren: Berlin (David) Bauer of Sauquoit, New York, Christopher Busby, Tabitha Busby and Hunter Busby of Granite Bay, Calif. He also enjoyed his two great-grandchildren Piper and Hawker Bauer. He was preceded in death by his daughter Robin Sindorf Mueller, a brother George Sindorf and sisters Delores Davanti and Wilma Sindorf.

Friends and family are invited to a viewing and funeral to be heldSaturday, August 4that the Crescent 19th Ward located at 1050 E. 10600 South, Sandy, Utah where a viewing will be held from9:30 AM to 10:30 AMwith funeral services to follow at 11:00AM.
