Janice Grace Martin

1943 ~ 2017

Janice Grace Martin, our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 4, 2017. Jan was born to Edward and Grace Breitenbuecher on August 1, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her love and kindness was felt by all who had the privilege to know her or even come in contact with her. Jan was the sweetest woman and had the biggest heart. She could always be counted on for a birthday card, Christmas gift, or a kind thought just because. Jan offered unconditional love to the many family and friends she knew. She was lovingly known as mom and grandma to many. She loved big hair, French tipped nails, and Celine Dion. She could also be found watching the WWE/WFC, Days of our Lives, and drinking Diet Pepsi. Jan loved her family and looked forward to any occasion she could gather them together. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were one of her greatest sources of joy. She loved travelling and the airline industry. Jan was a lifelong, active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many various callings over the years. She is loved and will be missed by so many people.

Jan is survived by her brother Paul Breitenbuecher; her children: Lopeti Penima'ani, Cori (Mark) Rackley, Cristina Palauni, Sebrina Martin, Kim Peterson, and John (Carolyn) Martin; grandchildren: Kevin (Mariana) Howa, Ziggy Palauni, Tia (Etu) Moli, Olivia (Nicholas) Morelos, Meleane Maile, Leimoni Maile, Kilisitina Maile, Lineti Maile, Lopeti Maile, Ian (Chrysta) Martin, Dawn Moerman, Dee Larsen, Russell Larsen, Angie Larsen; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Monty Breitenbuecher, and her sister LaRae Breitenbuecher.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 12:00-1:45 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
