James Allen Wright, passed away September 22, 2018 at the age of 88 in Murray, UT. He was born June 8, 1930 to Henry E. and Lucy L. Monroe Wright in Stearns, KY. Following graduation from high school, James enlisted in the Navy, and then later the Wyoming National Guard. He spent his career as a Machinist, mastering his skills and always taking pride in his work. Even after his retirement, he continued to do the work he loved in his own shop to fill his time. He was an avid fisherman, loving to the thrill of reeling in the catch. James attended Mountain View Assembly of God and Canyons Church.
He is survived by 3 children, sons Rodney (Julie) and Robin (Vena) and daughter Cindy (Ken) Pixley and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Virginia, two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2018 beginning at 11 AM at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.) in Sandy, UT. A visitation will be held prior to services beginning at 9 AM. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
