Wilda Manning Brower

1923 ~ 2013

Wilda Manning Brower, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away on October 18, 2013 surrounded by her loving family in Salt Lake City Utah.

She was born April 23, 1923 in Preston Idaho, the daughter of Willard A. Manning and Sarah Annie Wheeler. She married Samuel Thane Brower on June 2, 1945 in Preston Idaho. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple on April 21, 1995. Wilda taught accordion for 20 years. She retired from Salt Lake County\s Assessors office in 1987 after 20 years of service.

Wilda was amember of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her family was the most important thing in her life. Their needs and well being took priority over her own needs through the end of her life. Wilda found joy in her association with people, doing extraction for the church, music, ceramics, and working in her flower garden.

Survived by daughters, Shari (Dean) Wisdom, Teresa Whitney, South Jordan, UT, Maureen Kunz, Pocatello, ID; Grandchildren Leslee (Kim) Donio, Mike (Kristen) Holt, Ron (Robert Durrant) Holt, David (Bobbie) Blankenship, Wade (Tonya) Whitney, Trisha Whitney; Great grandchildren Aaron, Brooke, and Brianne Hardman, Morgan Holt, Landon and Brady Whitney; Sisters Gladys Buttars, Roy, UT, Doris Platt, Redding, CA; special friends Abi andMaria. Preceded in death by husband, parents, brothers Glen, LaVaun, and Dwayne Manning, sister Wanda Kirkbride, and grandson Tom Whitney.

The family would like to thank the nurses and CNAs that cared for Wilda the past 8 weeks. If she had her wish, you would have all been adopted and taken home with her. Special thanks to Promise at LDS Hospital and Caresource.

Services will be October 24, 2013 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S. at 11 am. Viewings, 6-8 pm Wednesday,October 23, and 9:45-10:45 am on Thursday prior to services. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.larkincares.com
