Wanda Rieck (Stilovich

1921 ~ 2014

On September 9, 2014, Wanda Burdette passed peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Wanda is survived by five children, Judy (Bruce) Steinke, Rick (Sue) Stilovich, Bob (Conna Lee) Burdette, Becky (Brian) Anderson, Robert (Jenny) Gillespie, 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by infant sons Jimmy and Denny Stilovich;husband Robert L. Gillespie andher late husband Grant E. Burdette;step-son Steve Burdette; parents William and Lola Rieck; and her three siblings May McGhie, Bill Rieck, and Grace Ballou.

Born August 19, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Wanda was a true Daughters of Utah Pioneers.She retired from Mountain Bell, then spent many retirement years as a Candy Striper volunteer, traveling the world, playing long and intense card games of "Mother," and was a charter member of the 49ers bowling league.Late in life, she continued to fill her bucket list, traveling the world, flying high in a hot air balloon, taking a spin on a Harley, snowmobiling, jet skiing, snorkeling, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

A Celebration of her Life for friends and family will be held at6:00 pmat the Larkin Sunset Lawn located 2350 East 1300 South, Salt Lake City, UT onFriday September 19, 2014.
