Spencer Monroe Bednar

1988 ~ 2016

After an exciting helicopter ride Spencer was born on May 17, 1988 in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents Robert M. Bednar and Joni Calloway. Sadly, Spencer passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 27, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Spencer grew up in Herriman, Utah and graduated from Riverton High School in 2006. He was so proud of his accomplishment in becoming an EMT and CNA, he worked throughout the valley in the medical field, most recently at the University of Utah Hospital. His goal to become a nurse was put on hold when Spencer was in a serious car accident in 2006, which he was lucky to survive. He always aimed to get back into school and complete his career goals.

Spencer is survived by his loving mother Joni (Patrick) Calloway, father Robert M. (Cherlelynn) Bednar, brothers Brian and Michael (Julie) Bednar, stepbrothers Jacob and Bryan Calloway, stepsisters Gracie and Susan Bednar, and grandparents Robert Bednar and Wanda Young; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and kind friends. Grandfather Warren G. Young, grandmother Geraldine Bednar, and aunt Patty Wood precede Spencer in death.

The family wishes to thank Spencer's roommates, friends, and emergency responders who were there for him on Sunday.
