Our beloved wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on April 6th, 2015. Her loving family surrounded Lucille after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born June 3rd, 1944 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Mable and John Miller. She married her best friend and loving husband, Mike Minor, August 5th, 1966, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Lucille graduated from Utah State University and worked as an elementary teacher for many years; she loved teaching and working with children. Lucille was an active member of the LDS church and served in many callings including, Relief Society President, Young Women's President, University of Utah institute sorority leader, and temple worker. Lucille had a very special ability to show compassion and an amazing will to serve as many people as she could in everything she did. She had many hobbies including sewing, painting, bowling, scrapbooking, taking pictures and had a wonderful garden with flowers which were the envy of many.
Lucille is survived by her loving husband, daughter Cindy Morrey (Tyler), sons; Kirk Minor (Marilynn), Nate Minor, sisters; Ila Peck (Fred), Barbara Kendall (Dennis), brother Melvin Miller (Janene) and mother-in-law Rula Minor. Lucille is also survived by two granddaughters who were the light of her life and enjoyed spending "Special Days" with them as often as she could. Her parents preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11th, at 12:00 Noon at the Telford Ward, 1834 East Creek Road, Sandy, UT. A viewing will be held immediately prior to the services from 10:00 ‚ 11:30 AM at the church. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
